It was a cold cold Christmas

I wasn't here during Christmas, so sorry couldn't follow y'guys on all your fun outings =*(
Anyway I spent Xmas eve with family, and spent Xmas itself on

CAMERON HIGHLANDS

*insert a thousand shivers here*
It was cold y'know!

Well, not THAT cold, but definitely colder than KL!
It sorta felt like there was an air-con turned on 24/7, and sometimes and evil, chilly fan too!

We took a detour to Mum's hometown of Kampar.
Quaint little town..still has the old colonial buildings
(Used to be a mining area and "the hive of activity" according to mum)

And still has the best "lo-shi-fun"

After the "little" detour which took 45 minutes extra journey time,
WE ARRIVED AT OUR DESTINATION!! *hollers*

Then afterwards we hiked down to the rose gardens..
I didn't intend for it to be a study trip, but it was educational!

I'm telling you, they got bad sales-sense..the first plant has a name like the one below:

After deciding to brave the dangers of the rose farm,
we walked on~

And so we left the path and climbed the mountain the rose garden was on.

On the way down my dad and I started doing "things"

We then continued the hike from rose garden

Anyway that was day 1 of the trip
Woke up the next day for a hike to G. Brinchang from our hotel
It was a 9km hike x.x

Was worth it though!
(but it was kinda stupid cuz when we went back, my bro, who was too lazy to hike with me, decided to just drive all the way there -.-")

Anyway after all the hikes I slept for 70% of the return journey =D

Kundang

Finally went fishing with my dad y'day..it's been like what,

7 YEARS

since I last sat under a tree waiting for exciting moments to happen
(for all you peeps who don't fish, you probably didn't get that joke)


Anyway we took a 40-minute drive down to Kundang


Some fun facts about Kundang:

a) It's the most happening place in the entire universe *yawn*

b) Location: I have no idea where it is, somewhere near Sg. Buloh I guess..

c) The word "concrete" doesn't exist in the vocabulary of the locals (dwellings are still atap houses)

d) Cows and chickens are their best friends.

e) Used to be a mining area, so the whole place is dotted with puddles the size of lakes

f) Population mainly consists of fishers and golfers (there's a golf course smack in the middle of Kundang, apparently land there is dirt cheap)

g) Chinese 'F' words and illegal cock-fights are commonplace.

h) "Kundang" sounds like the Hainanese word for "toilet" (haha)


Anyway I could fill my whole blog with K-facts, but let's move on shall we?

Ah well, wasn't a total waste though..
It was kinda interesting watching other anglers (like this group of half-naked malay dudes)

Fashionably Late As Usual

That's right ppl, the Prom Post!
Fashionably late as usual..


We arrived at the hotel late too! xD
We went round and round the Golden Triangle trying to figure out where Istana was!
When we FINALLY found it,

Probably ONLY bout 1/2 hour late! (which is quite early by Kovieen's standards)


So anyway, the moment I got out of the car I did the first thing ALL guys would do..

So anyway, after APOLOGIZING, and going down a couple of elevators (nearly got lost again, NEARLY), we were finally there! Woohoo!
